Generator Bracket/Block Bolts

When the generator mounting bracket is being re- installed on the engine block of the above models, a sealant must be used on the bolt threads to prevent oil seepage. Likewise, the absence of any one of the three bracket securing bolts will result in a major oil leak behind the generator. The bolt holes for this bracket are drilled through into the crankcase and directly receive oil thrown out by the connecting rod bearing.
