Happy New Year to everyone! Hard to believe we are writing “2021” now. It doesn’t seem that long ago to me when we were all panicking about the turn of the century and the Y2K concerns. On New Year’s Eve 1999 I drove over to our computer centre and had the entire 401 to myself. I sat around all night and waited for disaster to happen … it never did!
On a slightly more dreary note, this pandemic continues to impact our everyday lives. At time of writing, the provincial government has just announced that all of Ontario is moving back into a lockdown effective Boxing Day. As you can see from the below photo Wayne McGill was able to sum up 2020 by creating this display on his front porch … nice one Wayne!
I think we can all begin to look to the future with some optimism with the recent release of several vaccines but it is still going to be some months before everyone can feel safe again. Hang in there! I have no idea what events will take place in 2021 but let’s hope that by the time British Car Day rolls around we’ll be back to some semblance of normality. Fingers crossed!
Best regards; Dave
