Happy March!
As this email arrives in your inbox I am almost back to the land of ice and snow, though it hasn’t been a bad Toronto February from what I’ve read. Our first snowbird excursion has been fun and most of the days have been very comfortable with highs around 16-19 C.
I missed a massive turnout for Matt Molson’s shop visit on the 17th. I want to thank Matt and his family for putting on a wonderful event. Here are a couple of photos for those who weren’t able to make it…
Drive Your Triumph Day took place on the 20th. A total of 673 photos were submitted from around the world; this was down a little from the 748 photos submitted in 2023. Many Club members participated in the event and a few of them sent me photos. All of the photos have been posted to the Triumph Travellers website (https://bit.ly/49JVFs7) – you can use the search feature to look for your, and other cars by name, city, etc… Photos are also posted to their Facebook group (https://bit.ly/3wlCLcw).
Here are a few of the photos that I received…
TTC members who received a BCCI long-distance award for 2023 are:
- Richard Tisdale: 5517 miles in his TR250
- J.P. Rapattoni: 5385 miles in his Spitfire 1500
- Marg Edwardson: 3614 miles in her TR6
- Sylvain and Liz Demers: 3609 miles in their TR6
- Robin Searle: 3274 miles in his Stag
- Derek McAllister: 3003 miles in my TR6
Congratulations to all recipients!
